Lavon "Birdie" Patrick, Temple

 b.  Feb. 8, 1929  d. Sept. 6, 2012 to Allen and Norma Viola Patrick. She was a twin sister to Laverne "Bud" Patrick. She was also the sister to Clifford Warren Patrick  b. Nov. 6, 1920  d. July 27, 1967, who was married to Myrtis Thomas, McManus  b. March 4, 1925  d. March 21, 1912.
Lavon married around 1943  to Myrtis's brother, Marvin Vernel Thomas  b. August 9, 1921  d. May 6, 1981. Uncle Marvin was Birdies's first husband and was in the service. Unfortunately they were not married very long when he received a letter from her while he was deployed that she did not want to be married anymore.

The back of the above photo says that this is the yellow dress with lizard purse and shoes that I bought with the $27.00 you sent me. I am sitting beside the yellow Jasmine bush that you planted for me. The photo is dated June 21, 1944.

Lavon Divorced Marvin and later married George L. Temple in 1949 and they had one son, Kyle.

Lavon Patrick, Temple is buried at Forrest Lawn Memory Gardens in Meridian, Mississippi beside her second husband, George.
