Phyllis Marie Marble, Thomas


was born July 22, 1915 and died Sept. 2, 2016.
The only daughter of  Philip Heath Marble  b. 1890  d. 1965 and  Marie L.  b. 1890  d. 1965
She was 101years old when she passed away.
She married Rudolph Paul Schlimper  b. 1913  d. 1984
They had :
John Philip Schlimper  b. April 3, 1938  d. Oct 16, 2012
Paul Eugene Schlimper  b. Oct 6, 1939  d. Oct 28, 2005
Phyllis then married 
Jewel Louis Thomas  b. Dec 24, 1922  d. August 6, 2004
Phyllis's father, Philip H. Marble, bought Woodland Plantation in Churchill, Mississippi in 1936 which was in ruinous condition but her parents undertook a complete restoration of the property, including additions to the house which was furnished in period pieces and the construction of a number of service buildings. Their daughter, Phyllis lived and managed the plantation until 1974 when she sold it to the present owners. Woodland is on the National Register of Historic Places in Mississippi.


Phyllis is buried  next to her husband, Jewell, in the GreenLawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez, Mississippi.
Phyllis was Betty's Aunt.
